Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

Operate machinery and equipment to dispense and fill 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon totes with chemicals used in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Use HMI (Human Machine Interface) controls to transport empty drums and totes on conveyor lines and position them for filling. Fill containers to designated weights using machine controls. Label and organize drums and totes. Ensure all quality standards are met, that correct drums and totes were used, and correct chemicals were used to fill containers. Clean or condition containers prior to filling. Package filled containers for shipping. Follow detailed written instructions for proper filling. Perform basic math calculations. Use computers. May lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional use of a respirator. Current opening on weekend day shift with regular scheduled hours from 6am-7pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Pay rate is $20, with a $1 shift differential for working weekend day shift. Must be able to train on weekday day shift. Regular scheduled hours on weekday day shift are 6am-3pm, with a 30-minute lunch, Monday-Friday. Training usually lasts 4-6 weeks.

This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon.

Work Environment

Very clean, organized, and quiet manufacturing facility. The facility distributes chemicals such as acids used in the semiconductor industry. They fill and sell 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon totes of various acids, ammonia hydroxide, and reagents in a process called down packing. The chemicals are stored onsite and routed to containers through automation, complex piping systems, and conveyor systems. The process is very safe with no chemical contact, but full PPE is always required for safety. PPE may include a bunny suit, gloves, safety glasses, and respirator. The bunny suit is only required in production (not material handling) and is worn to maintain purity.
