Senior Cyber Security Networking Solutions Architect

The Senior Cyber Security Networking Solutions Architect designs, develops, and implements advanced secure network architecture solutions to address complex business challenges, aligning with enterprise architecture standards and cybersecurity best practices. This position requires expertise in both networking and cybersecurity, with hands-on involvement in designing, building, and implementing secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Secure Network Architecture Design and Implementation
• Develop and implement innovative, secure solutions for PGE's technical infrastructure, to support Cloud, WAN, LAN, Data Center, Internet and application services.
• Create detailed cyber component specifications and standards with a focus on repeatable practices to support Business objectives..
• Design large cyber solutions with built-in security measures, ensuring efficient resource utilization and integration.
Cybersecurity Leadership and Consultation
• Provide expert advice on security aspects of network systems
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, network operations, and project teams to implement secure technical solutions.
• Conduct security reviews of network activities, resources, and processes to improve overall security posture.
Emerging Cyber Security Technology Integration
• Monitor the market for emerging network security technologies and assess their potential value to PGE.
• Identify new hardware and software security technologies relevant to network infrastructure.
Risk Management and Security Assurance
• Evaluate and conduct security impact analysis on major design options, assessing and managing associated risks.
• Ensure network system designs balance functional requirements with robust security measures.
Security Consultancy and Stakeholder Management
• Understand client security requirements, collect data, and deliver analysis for network-related security issues.
• Educate stakeholder groups on security implications of proposed network solutions.
Education/Experience/Certifications
Education Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering management or equivalent work experience in related discipline.
Experience Typically eight or more years in related field.
Certifications, Licenses and Training TOGAF, ITIL, ARCHIMATE certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Extensive experience in secure network architecture and design
• In-depth knowledge of network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption technologies
• Strong understanding of cloud security, data center security, and secure WAN/LAN architectures
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, CISM)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
This role requires a highly skilled professional with specialized expertise in both networking and cybersecurity, capable of interpreting complex business issues and recommending secure best practices. The ideal candidate will work independently, providing guidance in the most complex situations, and may lead functional teams or security projects.

Compensation Range:
$96,300.00 - $189,875.00
Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
