Jamie Benway with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Portland, Oregon. As a Staff Accountant, you will be undertaking a variety of accounting responsibilities that will require a strong understanding of General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, and NetSuite.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record financial transactions in the general ledger

• Prepare and post journal entries ensuring accurate transaction records

• Perform month-end close activities including account reconciliations and analysis

• Utilize NetSuite for various accounting functions and procedures

• Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline accounting processes

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports

• Ensure all financial data adheres to current tax laws and regulations

• Conduct regular ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy

• Analyze financial data to support business decision-making

• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.

Requirements • Proficiency in General Ledger management

• Demonstrated ability in creating and maintaining journal entries

• Experience in executing month end close processes

• Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of applicable accounting laws and regulations

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
