Insight Global System Administrator in Portland, Oregon

Job Description

A IT Managed Service Provider in the Portland, OR area is looking for a System Administrator to join their Infrastructure team. This System Administrator will be supporting external clients for the company and will sometimes be asked to travel to clients sights in the metroplex. Additionally, mentoring of junior members on the team will be a part of the day-to-day for this role. Other day-to-day responsibilities include: Configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining operating systems including, the Active Directory authentication system, environments in cloud services in Azure, authentication workflow, load balancing systems, and data center components. They will also be responsible for providing tier 3 support for IT and reporting, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.

Skills and Requirements

  • 4+ years experience as a System Administrator

  • A degree (AA or Bachelors) in the Technology field

  • Experience supporting external clients/MSP experience

  • Strong experience working in and supporting a Microsoft environment - including tools such as Intune, Exchange and Azure

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft O365, Active Directory, and Azure services

  • Familiarity of backup and recovery procedures and best practices

  • Strong understanding of how to troubleshoot networking issues

  • Automation experience - Bash or POWERSHELL - Microsoft certifications null
