Job Title: Transportation Engineer
Job Description
Prominent Pacific Northwest-based engineering firm is seeking a transportation engineer with experience in public projects in roadway and intersection design, storm-water management, and a demonstrated history of leading engineering teams of up to 20 people. This person will be responsible for reviewing designs, coaching and mentoring junior staff, and managing projects from beginning to end. Project sizes vary from $500,000 to $3 million, with typical timelines of 3-5 years. Projects include large multi-discipline projects such as the design of storm-water, sewer, waterlines, staging, and traffic control. In addition to leading projects, the engineer will also engage in business development. They will review designs for accuracy, provide feedback to junior staff, manage project timelines and budgets, work on 3-5 projects simultaneously, and collaborate with sub-vendors to ensure compliance with Client Guidelines. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining reports and memos, attending networking events, and participating in bid proposals. Proficiency in Inroads and Microstation is required.
