Pottsville Parking Authority is currently hiring a part-time Parking Enforecement Officer.  

Duties:

•  Provide information on parking regulations to the public and direct them to available parking options.  
• Report inoperative meeters in a timely fashion.
• Patrol asigned areas to idenify parking vioations and issue parking violations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preffered)
• Driver's License a abliilty to pass a driving record check (clean driving background)
• Well qualified applicants will be in good physical condition capable of walking for an 4 1/2 hour shift in all weather conditions.
• Must be self-motivated and diciplined.
• Ability to be objective in the application of parking ordinances to situations. 
• Must posses sound judgement and remain tactful when interacting with the public. 
• Ability to learn the rules and regulations governing parking privilages and restrictions within the City of Pottsville. 
• Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
