**Responsibilities** **This position offers relocation assistance!** To function as a scrub technician first assistant. The use of a STFA in the role of a first assistant in place of another physician will be left to the discretion of the surgeon. When STFA is not first assisting he/she will work as needed in a Scrub Tech role. **Qualifications** **Minimum**

• High School Diploma/GED

• Two years of scrub tech experience

• Six months recent first assistant on-the-job experience and/or a letter of recommendation from surgeons for whom they performed as a first assistant

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider

• Successful completion of an approvedFirst Assistant program with a curriculum that includes didactic and clinical training designed for first assisting the surgeon

**Preferred**

• Electronic Medical Record or Cerner experience

• Scrub Tech First Assist Certificate

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
