Amergis School Psychologist - Hybrid Schedule in Prince Frederick, Maryland

Work days are 7.5 daily hours, 37.5/week

Middle School hours: 7:30am-3:30pm

Elementary: 8:20am-4:20pm

Remainder of school year, Start Date-6/14/2025

Essential Duties include…

  • Providing core services meeting the needs of students to include prevention, consultation, intervention, assessment, and counseling within the school setting

  • Conduct observation, collect data, review student records, confer with teachers/parents, students, and conduct functional assessments appropriately

  • Counsel with individuals and groups

  • Develop short and long term goals for students

  • Work alongside community agencies, clinics, hospitals and private practices as necessary

  • Evaluate cognitive ability, adaptive behaviors, social skills and emotional development

  • Consult/participate with IEP teams as deemed necessary

Minimum Qualifications

Must have Maryland State cert in school psych OR

  • masters or higher degree in school psych from maryland approved program and qualifying score + year long internship or

  • masters or higher and complete out of state approved program in school psych, culminating a minimum of 1200 hours internship in school psych and qualifying scores or

  • valid nationally certified school psych cert issued by national school psychology certification board or

  • masters or higher degree from IHE and valid, professional cert in school psych from another state along with verification of 27 months of satisfactory performance as a school psychologist within the last 7 years

The School Psychologist works to support students through avariety of mental health and developmental issues and aid in qualifyingstudents for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-sitepsychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state anddistrict.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must maintain current State licensures and/or certificationsin state of assignment

  • Experience in pediatric and adolescent population ispreferred

  • Master’s degree in psychology preferred

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
