Position Summary

The Finance Resource Management - ICN role is an Associate Director role that collaborates with Global Program Teams (GPT) and other support functions. The Associate Director serves as the day-to-day contact for all financial needs of the assigned assets and will be primarily responsible for the financial management of early and late phase assets within Immunology. The candidate is expected to drive financial close/projection and governance support for assigned assets.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial support of subset of early and late phase assets, including portfolio forecasting and governance support

  • Develop business cases, cost plans and financial insights to assist senior leadership in making sound investment decisions

  • Support monthly/quarterly accounting review and financial close for ongoing studies

  • Responsible to achieve financial goals and elevate issues proactively, timely, and transparently

  • Support integration of multiple platforms/systems and processes and lead analytical improvements

  • Financial support and management of business development and cost sharing collaborations with other pharmaceutical partners, as applicable

  • Contribute to creation of a high-performance culture through effective leadership and communication with key stakeholders in the cross-functional organization

  • Articulate a vision for the finance function and communicate a supporting strategy with clarity, force and impact to align people, critical resources, management and stakeholders

  • Support and lead process changes that continuously adapt to a dynamic business environment

  • Learn from experience and apply those learnings to enhance performance

  • Business-partnering with various Project Management, Clinical Operations and Global Program Team members to provide clarity and transparency to the portfolio evolution

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, CPA or MBA preferred

  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in finance or accounting

  • Previous pharmaceutical or related industry experience desirable

  • Strong financial and analytical skills as well as excellent business-partnering abilities required

  • Strong working knowledge of R&D Financial, Planning and/or CTMS systems is preferred

  • Effective communication skills, strong oral and written communications a must

  • The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, customer focused and able to make decisions independently

  • Collaboration experience, inside and outside of finance is desirable

  • Experience working with multiple levels of management with competing demands on time
