You will lead the purposeful utilization of compliance data and technologies to achieve organizational objectives and streamline processes. This role will lead our digital Compliance and Ethics Strategy for BMS and be a member of the Risk, Operations, and Intelligence Leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate C&E ROI (Compliance and Ethics - Risk, Operations and Intelligence) business requirements into clear and actionable digital requirements.

  • Drive the enablement of digital processes within the C&E ROI function.

  • Manage demand intake and prioritize inbound requests for analytics, enhancements, maintenance, and troubleshooting based on requirements.

  • Fiscal management : tracking and oversight of ROI spend vs budget including facilitation of budget process.

  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and assess technical and data feasibility through intake and requirements gathering.

  • Source and manage data, develop and test analytics, and provide troubleshooting and maintenance support.

  • Develop packaged insights, both quantitative and qualitative, leveraging Risk Analytics.

  • Provide stakeholder support for routine Board reporting on compliance program effectiveness.

  • Design, execute, and report on annual, internal, and external effectiveness and maturity reviews for the compliance program.

  • Leads team that facilitate supply of data and access to ROI systems for audit and inspections including

  • Collaborate with Enabling Functions in IT, Business Insights and Analytics, Commercial and other functions to develop a comprehensive compliance digital strategy and roadmap, and enable execution of the same.

  • Curate data and maintain compliance-related data lakes for full C&E ROI Team.

  • Ownership of data feed from ROI sleeves into commercialization framework/model

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data.

  • Maintain and enforce ethical considerations in the use of artificial intelligence across BMS.

  • Stay informed about evolving ethical standards in AI and implement best practices.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency through digital capabilities.

  • Align compliance digital initiatives with organizational objectives and compliance strategy.

  • Collaborate across BMS to incorporate "Compliance by Design" principles into technical systems and platforms.

  • Track digital investments to ensure the realization of intended outcomes and provide insights into the impact of digital initiatives.

  • Build, manage, and develop a diverse team with complementary skills.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Requires deep expertise in healthcare compliance data and platform management, typically gained through at least 10-12 years of technology experience in the pharmaceutical space.

  • Works independently on all deliverables.

  • Responsible for the direct management of team including results/outcomes, goal setting, performance management, coaching.

  • Has significant input into decisions related to hiring, performance reviews, promotions, and compensation actions. Considers broader business needs when managing colleague development, recruitment, succession planning, and diversity.

  • Leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects including resource and budget allocation and operational leadership.

  • Oversees deliverable product, sets vision and standards for work products, challenges teams. Lead a mix of multiple functions, geographies and/or capabilities. Actively contributes to the strategic direction of the function by recommending initiation/curtailment of projects based on assessment of viability and impact on BMS. Decisions impact the function's ability to deliver on its objectives.

  • Delivers across a range of issues with strong influence and trust. In difficult / stressful situations shows resilience and encourages calm and rationale behavior of teams. Identifies multiple solutions and recommendations to senior leaders. May contribute to decision-making that guides the strategic direction of the function.

  • Structures series of communications to achieve broader organizational/team goals. Tailors' communication content and style to ensure stakeholder understanding.

  • Provides strategic feedback to partners and vendors on service delivery, influences vendor delivery at a strategic level. Synthesize multiple analyses towards solving broader business issues/initiatives. Represents discipline or function on program/project teams.

  • Identifies gaps in capabilities across the function and ensures developmental opportunities are provided to ensure the continued growth and development of colleagues.

  • Anticipates how multiple processes interrelate and can evolve. Enacts plans to evolve multiple, complex processes. Able to envision divisional strategy with anticipation of forces / dynamics that will likely unfold.

  • Sets direction/guidance for team with little guidance, using considerable judgement. Contributes to development of multiple topic areas and/or multiple functions/regions. Drive setting functional direction. Recognized as a thought leader.

  • Makes resource allocation decisions, set objectives, and drives decisions about priorities within large team. Synthesize multiple analyses towards solving broader business issue/initiative. Leader of area or capability which is high risk, e.g., regulated area with frequent external oversight.
