ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria Devises new approaches to problems. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Acts as a key contributor and/or technical leader within a project team. May direct or coordinate work of drafters, technicians and other non-exempt personnel Performs research, design and development in such areas as mechanical, hydraulic systems Applies research to planning, design and development of mechanical or electro-mechanical systems, instruments and/or controls. Conducts feasibility studies and tests new modified designs May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication Establishes specifications and written test plans, including the development of test procedures to verify engineering designs is integral to the position Assist in development of Process Flow Charts (PFC) and Process Control Plans to ensure reproducibility and repeatable of final products Meet the desired cost and performance targets. Conducts stack up tolerance analysis to see design validity

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field Experience with different engineering software systems Ability to conduct FEA analysis using ANYSYS is required Minimum of 3 years of work experience involving the use of Mechanical Engineering/hydraulic principles and practices is preferred Experience in designing assemblies for medium or high-volume electronic devices is preferred Knowledge of manufacturing processes, hydraulics and metals Knowledgeable with assembly processes Must have experience in material selection across a broad spectrum including different grades of metal alloys SAP experience preferred Experience and understanding
