Charter Care Health Partners HIM Integrity Specialist in Providence, Rhode Island
Summary: Under the direction of the HIM Supervisor, the HIM Integrity Specialist is responsible for ongoing monitoring and resolution of patient identity issues, duplicate medical record numbers, documentation errors, patient overlays and other issues that fall within the organization’s EMR change management protocols. Collects data, identifies trends, reports and monitors the completeness and timeliness of documentation in accordance with TJC and CMS standards.
Education: Associate Degree in Health Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience.
Licensure: RHIT or RHIA preferred.
Experience: Three years of experience in HIM Department preferred, in addition to acute care and ambulatory care HIM experience. Ability to blend MPI Integrity responsibilities with technical operations and creative problem solving skills. Thorough knowledge of medical records systems, Joint Commission and State and Federal regulations. Must be a self-starter and have ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
