Teradata Senior Content Marketing Manager in Providence, Rhode Island

What You'll Do

In this role, you’ll lead the Content Marketing team in developing content strategy, corporate/brand messaging, and market-facing content assets for a global marketing team in the B2B technology space.

As the Senior Content Marketing Manager, you’ll oversee and execute on the content development for major marketing programs to create customer-centric content experiences that increase engagement, drive leads, and amplify brand. You’ll serve as the subject matter expert on content marketing and editorial best practices, develop customer journeys and content maps, as well as stay up-to-date with industry and market trends within the discipline. In addition, you will:

  • Develop and activate content strategy within global marketing team and across organization.

  • Oversee planning and execution of content development for major programs, including brand awareness, demand/lead generation, campaign programs, thought leadership, and product introductions.

  • Conceptualize, draft, and revise content assets and copy, while also managing content marketers’ asset/copy production.

  • Create plan and manage execution for program bills of materials (BOMs) with content, creative, and brand teams, as well as advise on content intake request review process and production pipeline.

  • Orchestrate content strategy/experiences for company website, Teradata.com, managing global copyeditor to create best practices, conduct editorial review, and optimize UI/UX from content and narrative perspective.

  • Produce and update corporate messaging and key narratives around Teradata’s brand identity and core offerings, including POVs, value propositions, outcomes, benefits, features, and more.

  • Maintain Teradata’s brand messaging house and verbal identity, ensuring global adoption and understanding among key stakeholders with clear, sophisticated organizational approach.

  • Organize strategy for thought leadership across Marketing, including ideation, development, and integration into customer journeys.

  • Draft and revise talking points, speeches, and presentations for office of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for major company events.

  • Motivate and coach team of content marketers/editors to support the content strategy, messaging, and content development for Marketing, managing performance goals and encouraging the professional development of direct reports.

  • Leverage data analytics related to content performance results to make data-driven decisions in content strategy and development.

Who You'll Work With

  • In this role, you will report directly to the VP, Content & Brand Strategy within the Global Marketing team.

  • You’ll work closely with the other Content & Brand Strategy functions, including: Creative Design, Content Operations, Social Media, and Brand Programs.

  • You’ll also collaborate with the other Marketing functions, including: Internal Comms, Public Relations, Digital COE, Demand Gen, Event Marketing, Product Marketing, Analyst Relations, Field Marketing, Partner Marketing, and more.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, as well as 10+ years in marketing overall.

  • Holistic understanding of integrated marketing programs, including best practices for developing and activating content across digital channels.

  • Experience in producing content and implementing content strategy across digital channels, such as organic search (SEO/SEM), website content, organic/paid social media, virtual events, email marketing, and more.

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to apply editorial style consistently while maintaining proper voice, tone, grammar, and formatting.

  • Ability to manage direct reports, budgets, goals, timelines, etc., as a functional lead.

Pay Rate: 132900.0000 - 166100.0000 - 199300.0000 Annually

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance.
