Charter Care Health Partners Supervisor, Desktop in Providence, Rhode Island
Summary: Systems installation, maintenance, support and application development. Manage smaller projects within single departments. Coordinate and communicate changes with system functionality within a department. Coordinate and communicate the integration of clinical and financial systems as part of the analytical support team in conjunction with a Systems Analyst II, III or the Director.
Provide training, support and documentation for users. Meet the reporting needs of management and other hospital staff with regards to patient, physician, employee, vendor, or other relevant information.
Work with external organizations such as software vendors or other organizations to communicate needs and/or resolve issues.
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically preferred, but relevant work experience can also be considered.
Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role in desktop support or a similar IT support function. In-depth knowledge of desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows) and common software applications. Strong technical troubleshooting skills to resolve complex desktop-related issues. Familiarity with desktop imagining, software deployment, and remote support tools and technologies.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with end-users and stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Leadership qualities, including team-building, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with departmental users and managers.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Normal office setting. Attends all related safety training and all other training programs as required by outside regulatory agencies and/or audits. Rectifies any specific job-related hazards for all areas of responsibility through appropriate measures. Stands, walks, and lifts (medium to heavy weights) most of the day. Required long periods of visually examining documents and viewing computer screens. Key responsibilities include the support of mission critical 24 x 7 clinical systems infrastructure.
