RB&G Engineering, a Utah civil/geotechnical engineering firm, seeks motivated, responsible, mechanically inclined individuals who are interested in being trained as a geotechnical driller's assistant. A driller and the driller's assistant work outdoors year-round as a two-person crew alongside an engineer or geologist, drilling borings to sample soil and rock for engineering studies. Most projects are local to the Wasatch front, but some require travel to more remote parts of Utah and occasionally into neighboring states.

Previous experience with geotechnical drilling, auto mechanics, or diesel mechanics will be beneficial but is not required.  Minimum Qualifications: •    Valid driver's license and clean driving record (no outstanding DUIs). •    Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and continue to work in a drug-free environment. •    Ability to safely lift and use heavy drill rods, augers, casing, core barrel, and other drilling equipment/tools throughout the workday. •    Problem-solving mentality and ability to work as part of a team.
