Manager, Product Security - Provo, UT

Why We Have This Role

Qualtrics operates in a world where security threats are evolving and being as secure as possible is paramount. The Product Security Manager is essential to Qualtrics' operations, tasked with protecting our products and infrastructure from increasing security risks. This person will maintain company-wide security standards, leading a skilled team of security engineers and collaborating across business units to address security challenges. The impact of their role is broad - they will help protect customer data, uphold the company's reputation, and ensure ongoing secure service delivery.

How You’ll Find Success

  • Proactive Leadership: Take the initiative, understanding the expected outcome, getting the necessary context, and working entrepreneurially to achieve the set goals in product security.

  • Security Expertise: Broad expertise in platform security, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of different security facets, including product, cloud, and infrastructure security.

  • Decision-Making and Problem Solving: Posses strong decision-making skills, able to tackle complex security issues swiftly and effectively.

  • Industry Exposure: As the head of product security, the person will be regularly interacting with industry leaders and participating in top security forums, widening their network and gaining industry insights.

  • Enhance Platform Security: Build and implement comprehensive security solutions across product, cloud, and infrastructure areas to reduce vulnerabilities and potential breaches.

  • Drive Vulnerability Management: Establish an effective vulnerability management system, conducting regular checks and swiftly acting upon detected issues.

  • Develop Data Protection Protocols: Define and enforce strict data protection protocols for adherence throughout the organization, ensuring customer data security.

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of skilled security engineers and foster a security-conscious culture, promoting continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate Across Business Units: Work closely with all areas of the business, forging partnerships to support security initiatives and create a coherent front against emerging risks.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • Expertise in Diverse Security Aspects: We want to see your proficiency in dealing with multiple security aspects ideally in product, cloud, and infrastructure security, including vulnerability management and data protection.

  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Share instances where you acted swiftly and effectively to manage potential vulnerabilities or address complex security issues.

  • Strategy Development: Ideally, you've defined and implemented security strategies in previous roles, driving transformative outcomes.
