The County Auditor investigates all financial claims against the county and pays the bills. The Auditor's Office also examines the financial books kept by the other county officials to see that accurate and complete records are maintained.

POSITION:  Senior Budget Analyst         POSTING #: 2019-0824sr

The Opportunity:

Under general guidance and direction of the Budget Manager, performs advanced budget analyses and forecasting in a multi-fund and multi-account environment. Develops advanced financial models to forecast annual revenues and costs to assist with creating the County budget.

Starting Pay: Grade 726 Step A: $71,739.20 - Step G: $82,409.60 Annually

Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field.
2. Four (4) years of professional experience in an environment with highly automated, computerized, accounting work, including two (2) years of government budget analysis.

3. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

    

Preferred Candidates will possess some of the below attributes:

1. Preference may be given to applicants with a master's degree in a related field.

2. Preference may be given to individuals who possess a related professional certification.

    

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: 1. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and obtain a valid State of Utah driver's license within sixty (60) days of employment. 2. Selected applicants will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
