Description of Job

The primary function for this positions is to serve as a scanning operator in the Scanning Unit working to provide document conversion services to state agencies and political subdivisions. The incumbent will utilize various technologies to perform digital imaging, data entry, CD/DVD duplication, document preparation and microfilm conversion.

A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Image scanning and processing quality control – Perform image capture using imaging technologies, reviewing final results for quality control

  • Project support– Review customer requirements and work with supervisor to determine steps to accurately complete projects Microfilm conversion

  • Training- Train operators on scanning procedures

  • Record keeping – Record time worked on all projects in systems such as Track It and Kronos

  • Document Prep–Receive mail, track and prepare for scanning

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience Only:

At least three (3) years of relevant experience preparing documents for scanning in a production environment.

OR

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience preparing documents for scanning in a production environment related to the work assigned equal to at least three (3) years

The exceptional candidate will possess the proven ability or accomplishment in the following preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position

  • Strong attention to detail.

    Conditions of Employment:

  • A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.

  • Department of Revenue Tax Check

  • Shift Work: Must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift

    Comparative Analysis Process The comparative analysis process for this position may consist of a structured application review, an online assessment and a structured interview.
