Liberty Latin America QA Performance Testing Lead in Puerto Rico

What´s the role?

As a QA Performance Testing Lead, your role involves ensuring the efficient performance of applications and systems by leading a team of performance testers. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive performance testing strategies, conducting tests, analyzing results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance issues. Additionally, you will lead both internal and external resources in test management and execution across all geographies in LLA, as well as oversee outsourced offshore resources in other locations.

How can you add value?

  • Mentor a team of performance testers and guide them on standard processes, while promoting continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with partners to define performance testing goals, scenarios, and success criteria, while implementing high-performance testing processes and scripts using industry-standard tools and developing detailed test plans in alignment with project requirements.

  • Analyze test results, collaborate on performance bottleneck resolutions, present findings, and maintain accurate documentation, while also creating and implementing performance testing strategies in coordination with development, QA, and operations teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of performance problems and recommend corrective actions.

  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of performance testing activities.

  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

  • Other functions may be assigned.

What do you need?

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3 - 6 years’ experience with successful engagement in Performance Testing methodologies.

Other Qualifications:

  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)

  • Experience in performance testing methodologies, tools, and standard processes, while integrating responsibilities for load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing, focusing on quality controls, resource efficiency, and a comprehensive understanding of the IT technology landscape, its roadmap, and evolution.

  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Load Runner, or Gatling.

  • Knowledge of application architecture, databases, and network protocols.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting complex performance issues.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective work in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with cross-functional teams within a complex operational environment.

  • Background in the telco industry, preferably in an international multi-market setting.

  • Ability to engage effectively with senior-level management.

  • Understanding and experience working in a customer-focused environment.

  • Track record of working in cross-functional, international teams.

  • Knowledge of IT architecture, including familiarity with new technologies.

  • Strong proficiency in Test Methodologies, covering internal and offshore risk-based testing and resource management.
