The Opportunity:

 

As the Grants and Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for the database management of the University's electronic grant research program. You will provide the initial review and routing of all proposals and award documents that are routed through the Office of Research Support and Operations on behalf of Washington State University (WSU) and will receipt and disseminate all communications from sponsored agencies, all WSU units including Sponsored Program Services, faculty, and departmental research administrators. You will also submit proposals to various federal and non-federal agencies, as well as, prepare reports for the Associate Vice President for Research.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• High School graduation or equivalent; and five (5) years of experience in office, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting or general administrative work, which includes one (1) year full-time experience working in grants and contracts; OR equivalent education/experience.

 

• Demonstrated computer software skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's Degree in business or relevant field.

 

• At least one (1) year of experience working in a university setting.

 

• Experience working with grants, proposals, and awards.

 

• Two (2) years of experience creating and managing databases.
