Fluidra ’s looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist to join our team ! This role will be responsible for HSE in two facilities; Built Right in Punta Gorda, FL and Fluidra USA in Jacksonville, FL with the home base in Punta, Gorda, FL.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The EHS Specialist will be r esponsible for the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems required to manage risk and facility safe ty, health , environmental complian ce and efficient manufacturing activities. Additionally, you will:
Implement the HSE-MS segments and required ESG programs
Act as the site contact for HSE related matters internally & externally
Document and maintain records of all incidents including near misses in SAI 360.
Facilitate new hire safety training and all refresher training.
Collaboratively partner with HR in the handling of safety incidents and workers compensation claims as needed.
Promote a safe working environment.
Ability to travel 50% to start, will drop to 25% over time.
Other duties assigned related to EH&S.
WHAT WE SEEK
1+ years hands-on experience with HSE Management Systems
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including public speaking and presentation
Awareness of federal, state and local regulations, such as OSHA & EPA
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Ability to recognize potential hazards and risks and collaborate across functions to eliminate or minimize the hazards
Experience implementing and maintaining 5S, training, and development programs
Lean Manufacturing Certification preferred
Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to be the outward facing safety and environmental representative to regulatory agencies
Solid administrative and organizational skills, with expertise in Microsoft Office and other similar application packages
PREFERRED:
HSE experience in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis in
confined space entry and working at height
respiratory protection
air permit compliance and tracking
hazardous and solid waste management
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
