MasterCard International Incorporated Director, Data Scientist in Purchase, New York

Position Duties: •Provide thought leadership and subject-matter expertise in the product development efforts related to C&I decisioning product capabilities and performance. •Research and provide insight on the latest trends and advancements in data science and the nuances and applicability of ways to further enhance the unique real-time environment in which C&I services operate, including impacts and strategies related to the growth of card use via non-traditional channels (“internet of things”). •Provide critical updates and recommendations to C&I product owners and engineering teams on both strategic and operational impacts. •Provide subject matter expertise on requirements development, identification, and assessment of potential partners to enhance and fill gaps in service offerings. •Drive the development of analytic efforts for real-time security and decisioning services and innovations, working with both external customers and internal stakeholders. •Generate new data-driven products in anticipation of a response to customer needs, market trends, and competitive opportunities. •Define and create new prototypes, iterative design, and delivery for data-driven products and/or services using modern data analysis, machine learning, and statistical approaches. •Responsible for developing models that are production-ready and created for a broad range of verticals (authentication, authorization, safety net, etc.). •Develop automated processes for creating models covering the end-to-end modeling steps, from data ingestion to model delivery. •Contribute to the processes designed to scale, to be repeatable, resilient, and industrialized. •Perform ad hoc analyses that deepen understanding of security/fraud-related issues on the Mastercard networks with a particular focus on the novel authentication network based on the EMV 3DS2 protocol. •Communicate within the data science team as well as with business and technology teams.Job Requirements:Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Information Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in job offered, as Data Scientist, Product Development Manager or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience. Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: Python; SQL; Hive; Impala; Hadoop; Spark; Machine Learning; Data Mining; Artificial Intelligence. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. Travel is required 10-15% of the time.

Minimum Salary: 191002.63 Maximum Salary: 289000.00 Salary Unit: Yearly
