    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service

  • Establish practices that increase guest satisfaction to drive revenue while controlling labor and other costs

  • Make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation

  • Maintain Housekeeping standards through daily inspections

  • Hire, train, and schedule staff effectively taking into account business levels during peak and off - season periods

  • Coordinate work activities among departments

  • Conduct employee meetings to share information, and keep the lines of communication open with staff and peers in the hotel

  • Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and take corrective action

  • Submit all period end reports including inventory in a timely manner

  • Inventory stock and submit requisitions to ensure adequate supplies

  • Develop and maintain “Deep Cleaning” schedule

  • Submit a weekly and monthly forecast to the accounting office

  • Evaluate records to forecast department personnel requirements

  • Responsible for processing of “Lost and Found” items

  • Fulfill the responsibility of the Manager on Duty “MOD” when scheduled

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to Lodge General Manager

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Associates degree preferred; hospitality or related field

  • Two to five years of progressive experience in housekeeping management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of OPERA-PMS software desired

  • Must be able to speak, understand, read and write in English

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to effectively identify issues and propose solutions

  • Ability to communicate with team members and guests in a professional manner

  • Ability to effectively motivate, develop, train, and direct other staff

  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed

  • Valid driver’s license and clear driving record

    Salary range is $60,000 - $70,000 per year
