Description
Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for a permanent opportunity in the QUINCY, Massachusetts area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Requirements
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
min of5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with public accounting experience
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are ideal
Financial statement preparation experience
GAAP Accounting experience highly desired
Monthly Financial Statements experience
Command of month end closings
Public Accounting experience
