This is a position with grade 16 Your role and responsibilities Perform Service tasks, identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or onsite activity in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retro-fits, end of life services, replacements, etc.) Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation. Create and maintain a good relationship with customers and understands their needs. Identify new sales opportunities and communicates them internally Coordinate, prepare, and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Report work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed Proactively identify potential equipment failures and request proactive corrective actions. Troubleshoot equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future Proactively identify suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicates them further in the ABB organization. Provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Report unsafe practices and incidents Qualifications for the role Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent military experience or Associates Degree with minimum 2 or more years of experience in servicing critical power equipment (uninterruptible power supply, power distribution units, static transfer switches) Will consider High School Diploma/GED with minimum 10 or more years of experience Advanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization Advanced level of ability to use Microsoft Office products Moderate ability to self-Project Manage using Microsoft Project or Excel Advanced ability to write test plans and reports detailing test results Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US More about us ABB Smart Power is a global technology leader, with products and solutions that make power supplies smart, connected and protected.
