This position is for a Plant Engineering Manager with a manufacturing company location in Quitman, MS.

Duties and Responsibilities include: Leads the plant organization to develop/reapply and implement systems, equipment and work processes that deliver desired safety, product quality, customer service and cost outcomes; Represents the plant to Production Planning; Has primary responsibility for plant capacity utilization, setting and delivering production commitments; Ensures the plant is efficiently staffed and capable to safely operate; Ensures Company sponsored professional growth and development opportunities for plant personnel (including job specific training and career planning) occur; Responsible for coaching and development of management level personnel; Personally conducts effective annual performance and career discussions with direct reporting staff; Keeps Regional Director informed of the plant's priorities, resource needs and help needed to insure desired results are delivered; Responsible for the fair and equal treatment of all employees and candidates with regard to all aspects of employment, regardless of any protected characteristics.

Requirements and Qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business and/or ten years commensurate management experience; Seven years of manufacturing operations management / leadership assignments demonstrating a progression of increased scope and responsibility is required; Must possess at least three years leadership experience in a senior capacity within a midsize (250+ employees) manufacturing environment; Must also possess at least five years of experience managing department managers in various functional areas; Demonstrated project management experience required; Experience and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software; Demonstrates a working knowledge of mechanical principles and higher level mathematical theory; Demonstrates effective English language communications at all levels: both written and oral to promote team building, excellent employee relations and desired business results.
