What You Will Contribute: We are looking for a first shift Summer Help Assembler in our Racine Plant. This person will work in a safe, clean, air-conditioned facility. We are willing to train for the right person! The Assembler is responsible for assembling parts according to specified Work Instructions and/or Drawings and exhibits the ability to effectively complete critical component assemblies. This position may be required to rotate throughout the facility in a variety of assembly tasks. Below are the additional duties and responsibilities: * Participate and Contribute to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost continuous improvement efforts. * Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions and report completed work. * Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders when required for a specific job and make adjustments when needed on his/her own. * Take initiative to ensure priority items are completed and when needed seek out additional information from lead or Supervisor. * May be responsible for basic training of others in department. * Use basic Hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools to complete assemblies. * Navigate through basic LX screens to identify Inventory requirements and status as needed and utilize system as required to make adjustments. * Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workplace Qualifications: * Ability to demonstrate mechanical capability preferred * Ability to demonstrate a sense of technical aptitude preferred * High School Degree/GED Preferred * No experience necessary; prior assembly experience a plus Working Conditions: * Work is performed in a Manufacturing environment * Depending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test * Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
