Your responsibilities will include

• Use basic hand tools of the welding trades, such as a chipping hammer, striker, tip cleaner, C clamp, vise grip, tape measure, square, protractor

• Oxy Acetylene torch cutting – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up tanks, set regulator pressure, select correct tips for application to be used on, able to select correct tint of cutting glasses

• Brazing – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up tanks, set regulator pressure, select correct tips for application to be used on, able to select correct tint of brazing glasses

• ARC Welding – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up welder for application being used, select correct welding rod for application, able to select correct welding helmet lens strength

• Mig Welding – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up welder for application being used, select correct welding wire for application, able to select correct welding helmet lens strength

• Tig Welding – work orders include, but aren’t limited to, set up welder for application being used, select correct welding material for application, able to select correct welding helmet lens strength

• Plasma Arc torch cutting (set up Plasma Arc for application being used, select equipment to be used for application, able to select correct lens strength for cutting)

Minimum requirements

• Current High School student in his/her Junior or Senior year

• Prior completion of welding classes during high school

• Must have the ability to work alone and effectively with other people. Good work ethic and attendance are also required

• Knowledge of Brazing, Tig Welding strongly preferred
