Job Overview:

The Ultrasound Technician performs quality diagnostic sonographic exams and vascular studies on all patient populations of the hospital. Ultrasound exams are done in the ultrasound department, portably throughout the facility, and in the OR.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Completion of an accredited ultrasound training program

• ARDMS or ARDMS Eligible

• At least two years of ultrasound work experience

• Proficient in using PACS

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift working, 8:00am-4:30pm or 4:30pm-12am

• Fill-in coverage role for weekends or weekdays, day or evening shifts, as needed. Potential for on-call if qualified and live close enough to respond. On-call is not a requirement.

• Per Diem

Essential Functions:

• Lift, assist and transport patients

• Perform data entry for exam tracking and patient charging
