Red Hat Benefits Analyst in Raleigh, North Carolina
The Red Hat Global Benefits team is looking for a U.S. Benefits Analyst to join the Core People Solutions team. In this role, you will support strategy development, solutions implementation, vendor management, and program management activities for U.S. benefits with a focus on health and welfare programs as well as 401(k). You'll need to have effective communications, strategy, and project management experience along with knowledge of benefits program administration and delivery operations. As a U.S. Benefits Analyst, you’ll also need to have experience with both leading and working on changes in benefit plans, vendor and administration platforms, and guiding employee communications. You'll own compliance activities related to the focus areas for your position. Successful applicants must reside in a location suitable for hybrid work in the Raleigh, NC office.
What you will do:
Perform program management and process oversight of the health and welfare (including Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, QTE, HSA) programs
Act as the lead analyst for Red Hat’s 401(k) plan, including managing plan administration activities and annual testing/regulatory filing requirements
Partner with members of the extended team, including the Payroll, Benefits Operations, and People (HR) Relations teams, for effective delivery of benefits with a focus on associate experience
Collaborate on and share your current knowledge of benefits-related legislation, e.g. Affordable Care Act and health care reform, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state mandated leave of absence programs and SECURE 2.0 Act ; make recommendations for required policy or practice changes
Partner with team members to plan and deliver annual U.S. open enrollment
Supports/leads RFP process and implementations as necessary
Collaborate on and provide subject matter guidance to associates and management on a variety of benefit matters
Review and manage associate escalations for benefit programs
Manage relationships with the benefits brokerage team, third-party benefit plan providers, and other external vendors
Provide ongoing reporting to support Red Hat’s total rewards philosophy and talent strategy, using direct market analysis and benchmarking to identify trends
Partner with internal communications to develop effective and culturally aligned benefit communications across benefit programs
Produce and maintain documentation related to administrative benefit processes and policies
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience working in the development and leading administration of benefits programs
Experience with leading day to day management of large-volume health and welfare and 40(k) benefit programs
History of working through ambiguity to solve problems and leading them to successful resolution
History of delivering results and operating as an internal consultant across all levels of management in a fast-paced environment with the ability to build close relationships, inspire decisions, and gain trust as an adviser
Successful experience working with shared services or outsourced environments are a plus
Compliance and operations knowledge across all benefit programs, including an understanding of how teams collaborate to effectively administer programs
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner
Experience working in an environment with solid collaboration undergoing rapid growth
Proficient with Microsoft Office, experience with Google Suite is a plus
Knowledge of HRIS systems, experience with Workday is a plus
The salary range for this position is $74,900.00 - $119,830.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
