Job Description:

Evaluate credit applications and assess the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses to determine their ability to repay loans or credit lines.

Functions:

Review credit applications and financial statements to assess risk

Analyze credit data and financial information to make informed decisions

Prepare credit reports and recommendations for loan approvals or denials

Conduct credit investigations and verify information provided by applicants

Communicate with applicants to gather additional information or clarify details

Monitor existing accounts for changes in credit risk and recommend appropriate actions

Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures

Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to credit analysis

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

1-3 years of experience in credit analysis or related financial roles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in financial analysis techniques and tools

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and make sound judgments

Knowledge of credit risk assessment principles and practices

Preferred Skills:

Experience with credit analysis software or financial modeling tools

Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to credit analysis

Understanding of industry-specific credit risk factors

Certification in credit analysis or related field (e.g., Credit Analysis Certification)
