PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide administrative expertise to achieve the profitability, growth and product support goals of the S.O.S Program. Perform the duties of lead registrar and provide direction and guidance for the other registrars.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: This position is responsible for primary sample registration, maintaining an accurate customer database and providing administrative assistance for the daily operation of the S.O.S Laboratory.

Registration - 60% of Time Spent A major responsibility of the incumbent is sample registration. The incumbents registration responsibilities include:

Transfer data provided by customer (sample labels) into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Resolve discrepancies between label information (or lack thereof) and LIMS database requirements by contacting customers or using other Caterpillar software (DBS, SIS, SIMS).

Administrative: 25% of Time Spent * The incumbent will support all administrative aspects of the S.O.S Program: * Primary customer/dealer contact for addressing sample information concerns. * Purchase requisitioning * Customer invoicing * Establish and maintain instrumentation service contracts * Resolve customer issues and provide appropriate sample and administrative reports as requested. * Support Lab Manager in maintaining all appropriate laboratory certifications, e.g., Caterpillar Images of Excellence and ISO 9001:2000.

Database Management: 15% of Time Spent The incumbent will help maintain an accurate customer equipment database by:

Working with new customers to obtain a complete equipment inventory list for entry into LIMS Periodically contacting existing customers to obtain revised equipment list for entry into LIMS Maintain accurate customer contact information.
