Job Title:Project Manager I (level II or Sr. possible depending on experience)

Position Location:Raleigh NC. Hybrid role - must live locally.

Your impact:

As a Project Manager I, you'll have the opportunity to use your leadership and creative problem-solving talents, along with your IT aptitude, to assist in documenting functions and procedures, develop requirements and requests, test, lead, plan, and execute small and medium corporate projects. You'll also have the opportunity to use your communication skills and interpersonal skills to deliver presentations, train, write procedures and build rapport with customers as a liaison between them and the Project Office.

The contributions you can anticipate making:

Enhancing communication by:

  • Translating and simplifying customer requirements and then acting as the liaison for customers in analysis, design, and testing to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Providing system training, mentoring, and coaching customer and support personnel through project completion.
  • Proactively alerting project stakeholders of events that may jeopardize project timelines and/or deliverables.
  • Delivering informative presentations as needed.

Analyzing and documenting processes by:

  • Defining and documenting future and/or improved business functions and processes.
  • Tracking and documenting changes for functional and business specifications and writing detailed procedures for permanent records or use in training.
  • Defining and documenting internal and external user interfaces and support systems as well as clarifying and defining data requirements.

Enhancing our current practices through:

  • Developing comprehensive business cases that assist management in understanding scope, costs, and benefits of small and medium projects thus supporting well-informed business decisions on the use of resources.
  • Ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved.
  • Performing post-project reviews to assess planned vs. actual costs and resource use. Using the results of these assessments to continuously enhance the project process.

Providing Consultation by:

  • Analyzing the requirements of the business unit and then serving as a liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams.
  • Meeting with management and personnel to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, operational procedures, problems, input/output requirements, and levels of system access.
  • Leading the requirement analysis for large, complex, or multiple business units.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes and assisting in the preparation of proposals to automate processes and/or develop new systems and/or operational changes.

Offering your technology expertise by:

  • Becoming proficient with office applications, automation, database systems, data imports, merging records, and running reports.
  • Analyzing the feasibility of, and developing requirements for, enhancements to existing systems and ensuring the system design fits the needs of the business unit and future direction of Coastal.
  • Researching and preparing report request documents.

Managing projects by:

  • Creating the project plan, coordinating resources, managing timelines, and enforcing project deadlines and schedules.
  • Identifying needs and requirements, researching functionality, and assisting with the creation and scoring of the RFP process where required.
