job summary:

Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer or Designer with 10+ years of experience needed for a direct hire role in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have an established background in plumbing and fire protection engineering, experience with Revit and AutoCAD 3D modeling and design, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineers (PE) License or ability to obtain a license

  • 10+ years of plumbing design for commercial projects

  • Comfortable reading and understanding construction documents (plans and specifications)

  • Mentoring junior engineers, leadership, and management skills

location: Raleigh, North Carolina

salary: $100,000 - 130,000 per year

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

  • Design plumbing systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads.

  • Develop project specifications and perform site evaluations.

  • Attend meetings with clients and project teams.

  • Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.

  • Prepare system designs, plans and permit drawings.

  • Provide construction administration, including reviewing submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders assistance
