Catalyst Clinical Research LLC Manager of Statistical Programming in Raleigh or Remote, North Carolina

Position Description:

As the Manager of Statitical Programming you would provide daily supervision of statistical programming personnel and lead statistical programming support in routine and customized data displays, (including listings, tables and graphics) in accordance with approved Statistical Analysis Plan and shell displays.   Manage/Mentor senior and junior level statistical programming staff.

Education: 

  • A 4-year computer science/math degree or equivalent; MS preferred

     Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with CDISC/SDTM/ADaM programming

  • A minimum of 7 year’s SAS programming experience and 3 years of direct management experience

  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical research or CRO setting required/preferred

  • A satisfactory combination of education and experience may be accepted as a substitute for the specific education and experience listed above

      Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of clinical trial study design 

  • Able to work independently on multiple, concurrent projects

  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Can attend study team meetings as needed  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate programming activities for direct reports

  • Monitor performance and identify training and development needs of direct reports

  • Assist in the development and communication of departmental policies and procedures

  • Creation of safety and efficacy SAS datasets

  • Creation of project specific macros and formats

  • Performing data checks as needed, to ensure integrity and correctness of data displays and to understand structure and content of data

  • Facilitate advanced technical expertise, in conjunction with internal and external team members, to design, implement, validate, and maintain project reporting applications that are supported by the department.

  • Perform other duties assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to Director for all general and operational issues.

  • Manage and/or mentor statistical programming staff as appropriate

Working Conditions:

  • General office working conditions apply. Employee may be office or home based. 

  • Travel for meetings or training activities may be required.
