Job Description

Teledyne Technologies is seeking a motivated and organized Production Expeditor to support our production team in Rancho Cordova, CA. This role is critical to ensuring the timely flow of materials and resources throughout the production process. The Production Expeditor will work closely with cross-functional teams to address bottlenecks, expedite materials, and facilitate production schedules to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Expediting Orders and Materials: Monitor production schedules, expedite material orders, and address delays to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and equipment required for production.

• Production Coordination: Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to prioritize work orders, address shortages, and resolve issues impacting production flow.

• Inventory and Materials Tracking: Track material availability, manage inventory levels, and update stakeholders on the status of materials to ensure production continuity.

• Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, expedite critical materials, and resolve delivery issues. Work with procurement to address vendor-related challenges.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of expediting activities, material shortages, and production timelines. Prepare reports and updates on production status for management.

• Problem Solving: Identify potential production bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions to keep production on schedule.

• Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements in material handling, inventory control, and expediting processes to optimize production efficiency. Qualifications

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or supply chain role, with a focus on expediting or material handling. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Education : High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or coursework in supply chain management, production, or a related field preferred.
