GovCIO Mobile Device Manager in Randolph Air Force Base, Texas

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring forskilled and proactive Mobile Device Managerto join our IT team. The Mobile Device Manager will oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of all mobile devices within the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of mobile device management (MDM) solutions, security protocols, and the latest trends in mobile technology. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure the efficient and secure operation of all mobile devices, providing support and implementing policies that align with the company's goals.This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining mobile device management (MDM) solutions across the organization. The candidate will oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of various mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and other hardware, ensuring they meet the organization’s security policies and standards. Responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting mobile device performance, providing technical support, and enforcing usage and security policies. The role also involves conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the candidate will train employees on the proper use and security of mobile devices and stay updated on the latest MDM trends and technologies to recommend process improvements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain mobile device management (MDM) solutions across the organization.

  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and other mobile hardware.

  • Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure all mobile devices meet the organization’s security policies and standards.

  • Monitor and manage mobile device performance, including troubleshooting issues and providing technical support to end-users.

  • Enforce policies regarding the use, security, and management of mobile devices within the organization.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of mobile devices to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Train and educate employees on the proper use and security of mobile devices.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile device management and recommend improvements to existing processes.

Qualifications

High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience)

  • Clearance Required: Secret

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in mobile device management or a related IT role.

  • Strong understanding of MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or similar tools.

  • Knowledge of mobile operating systems, including iOS and Android, and their enterprise management features.

  • Experience with mobile device security protocols, including encryption, VPNs, and remote wipe technologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to managing tasks and responsibilities.

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security, etc).

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Certification in mobile device management or related IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Mobile+).

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $80,500.00 - USD $98,500.00 /Yr.
