Job Description

As the Key Account Specialist, you will also work alongside other departments on behalf of CamelBak Key Accounts, including marketing, operations, and logistics, to ensure timely execution of all initiatives and activities specific to these accounts. With the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and tracking all account maintenance, item set ups, shipped to forecast, order processing, availability/fulfillment communication and ultimately timely deliveries to the accounts.

This position reports to the Customer Operations Manager and can be based out of our Irvine, CA or Rantoul, IL offices.

As the Key Account Specialist, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Participate in the Onboarding process for new accounts and help to document and communicate account compliance requirements relating to IT, VAS, Logistics and Credit.

  • Assist in obtaining and maintaining Key Account forecasts and provide timely updates as appropriate to Sales Operations Manager as appropriate.

  • Assist in the development and management of concise Key Account business plans with the Sales Managers to optimize the growth potential for each account. All plans should include current data on:

  • Product assortment strategy

  • Merchandising strategy

  • Promotional strategy and timelines

  • E-commerce strategy, audit schedule, link maintenance

  • Effectively manage all aspects of the Key Account order transactions (including written purchase orders and EDI transactions) to ensure quality customer service, pricing accuracy, product availability and fulfillment and timely deliveries.

  • Maintain an active level of communication with Key Account Team, Sales Managers, Key Account analysts and merchandise assistants/planners, respective field reps and distributors in order to effectively and efficiently manage all of the Key Account activities and initiatives.

  • Attend, alongside the Sales Managers, Sales Meetings, Trade Shows and Key Account visits as appropriate.

  • With the Sales Managers, assist in tracking all critical Key Account promotional activities, working to anticipate and identify critical changes in order cadence, product availability and forecast deviations.

  • Prepare weekly Key Account POS sales reports as appropriate and available and distribute to key internal contacts.

You have:

  • 2-4 years related experience, ideally in the CPG industry in customer service, inside account management and/or marketing capacity.

  • Strong overall computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • CPG business experience

  • Proficient analytical skills and understanding of "retail math"

  • Experience with ORACLE database system

  • Competent presentation, listening, and phone skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and think on feet

  • Flexibility and a positive attitude

  • Team player and excited to interact with a diverse people

You might have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
