Job Purpose

Work as part of a global V&V team developing Li-ion and cutting-edge lead battery technologies. Reporting to the Lead Analysis Engineer, the Senior Analysis Engineer will be responsible for characterization, and documentation of cells and battery systems from test samples and deployed products with a strong focus on lithium ion (Li-ion) technologies. Willing to travel, including international travel as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze test results and performance data Characterize cells and battery systems through data mining of the results of mechanical, electrical, life-cycle, safety, and environmental tests Support the development of statistically sound test protocols to provide performance, endurance, and safety data for battery systems, cells and components Assist in the selection and development of the analytical toolkit used for characterization of batteries Perform and document tear-down analyses of cells and battery systems

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications & Experience B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent 3+ years of laboratory test experience

Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of Lithium Battery experience Demonstrated experience presenting analysis of data to expert and non-expert audiences Experience with Li-Ion Technology Experience with power and control systems

Skills Requirement: Demonstrated understanding of statistical methods from a fundamentals perspective Detailed report writing and presentation skills Previous experience of delivering measurable results in a busy environment Strong grasp of metrological principles, methods, and equipment Familiar with root-cause analysis Demonstrated competency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) Proficient in the use of statistical tools and the applications Demonstrated high degree of attention to safety, including with hazardous voltages Good interpersonal skills and ability to liaise across all areas of the business
