Job Overview

The role is primarily responsible for leading the sustainability strategies and related key initiatives across the Rentokil Initial Group.  It includes coordination of the Sustainability Workstream leaders, Regional SHE Leadership Team (SHE-LT), coordinating a growing number of key initiatives across the Group, tracking progress against key metrics and implementing improvements where needed to ensure that we deliver on our commitment to Net Zero by 2040.

The second aspect of the role is to develop processes to manage the collection and reporting of ESG (Environmental, Sustainability and Governance) data across the Group enabling it to be used by our leadership teams to drive performance improvements and fulfil statutory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Environmental Leadership

Provide environmental guidance and support to regional and country leadership teams, engaging with regional leadership teams to secure and strengthen their commitment to sustainability. Lead implementation of the environmental plan across the Group, incorporating group metrics and improvement targets with local initiatives to define a joined-up approach that can be clearly communicated to all levels within the Group. Enhance, facilitate and support the implementation of Group environmental policies, standards, programs, management requirements and associated procedures across the region. Manage external relationships with key suppliers / partners.

ESG Reporting

Maintain an effective working knowledge of ESG legislation, company requirements, guidance / best practice, and the business's activities. Manage the collection and reporting of sustainability data across the Group enabling it to be used by our leadership teams to drive performance improvements and fulfil statutory reporting requirements. Develop and establish a centralised data management platform and related data ingestion processes to support environmental performance tracking, reporting, and data assurance. Support all countries to improve their 'local' data collection processes to improve data quality and reporting (internal and external). Requirements: Knowledge and experience of management systems, including ISO14001 Experience as a SHE Practitioner with at least 5 years experience at a corporate level in a major international organisation (multi-site), preferably in the service industry. Experience developing, implementing, and auditing SHE management systems. Proven ability to present and train across multiple countries. Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the principles of SHE management and the development and implementation of effective SHE management systems. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English; persuasive with the ability to positively influence / inspire directors and managers at all levels; able to command respect from others and establish a high degree of professional credibility. Advanced analytical skills in collecting and analysing data from multiple sources. Strong experience in leveraging systems and processes to collect and report on data. E cellent organisational skills and capable of meeting deadlines while executing on multiple priorities / initiatives. Track record in delivering environmental improvements or other initiatives in a global corporation. Highly motivated with the ability to work with limited / no supervision. Able to build strong working relationships and collaborate with others. Innovative thinker and problem solver capable of developing new ideas to enhance environmental strategies. Able to manage projects and use technical / problem solving skills to approach complex projects. Results orientated (completer-finisher) with proven track record of driving change and performance improvement. Full driving licence.
