Our client is a well-respected 30+ year old local law firm looking for an experienced and motivated attorney to join their dynamic legal team in Reading, PA (Berks County), specializing in Municipal Law. They are seeking a skilled attorney, whether you're more of a entry level-level lawyer without a book of business or a experienced senior-level attorney with clients, to contribute to their growing practice. Qualifications:

  • Pennsylvania (PA) Bar License required.

  • Open to candidates at all experience levels - entry, mid-level, or senior.

  • Experience in Municipal, personal injury, business, family law, and estate.

  • Must be willing to reside in the Reading area.

  • Political interest at a local level is a plus.

    Requirements

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients in various municipal matters, ensuring compliance and effective representation.

  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to support the diverse legal needs of the firm.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to stay informed on relevant laws and regulations.

  • Draft legal documents, contracts, and other necessary materials.

  • Represent clients in court, negotiations, and other legal proceedings.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Provide legal assistance to local municipalities in matters such as fire departments, airports, contract drafting, and zoning.

  • Represent clients in diverse areas including public housing, labor laws, merging, subdivision and land development, employment, board governance, condemnation, land use, and civil rights actions.

  • Handle code enforcement issues, advising on violations and citations.

  • Navigate easements, including making, changing, or dissolving them.

  • Interpret and apply complex election laws for clients running for elected positions on local or state levels.

  • Represent Homeowner Associations and individual homeowners, offering guidance on legal requirements.

  • Conduct legal research and draft a variety of legal documents.

  • Provide support to attorneys and staff within the practice groups department, as needed, or manage the same for support.

  • Analyze and summarize legal documents for effective case management.

  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel, ensuring clear and timely information exchange.

  • Demonstrate hands-on experience in Complex Business Litigation, emphasizing quality documentation.
