Penske PTL - Manager-Collision Repair in Reading, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

The Manager - Collision Repair will provide leadership for the corporate Collision Repair functions. A key focus area is the oversight on activities around procedural compliance, standardization, consistency, productivity, throughput, and quality. The Manager – Collision Repair will also serve as a liaison in cross-functional settings across the corporate functions with key engagements with staffing, centralized services, sourcing, maintenance, IT, etc. This role will carry the baton on project development, execution, and implementation as the collision product line continues its growth journey.

Major Responsibilities:

• Execute upon our collision development strategy at the corporate level. Implement decisions/actions from cross-functional leadership teams that drive profitable growth, increased capabilities, and support operations.

• Build shared understanding and commitment across Corporate & Field teams and supporting departments to ensure alignment, support, and engagement.

• Identify gaps and opportunity areas within the current systems and structure for corporate support. Implement plans for continuous improvement.

• Lead the quantitative and qualitative review of existing operations, overseeing the creation and review of analytics and metrics.

• Drive collision process, practice, and quality across the enterprise through network alignment with key focus on standardization.

• Leverage the drivers of collision excellence to assess standards of performance and work with field managers on improvement areas.

• Continually scan operational content looking to optimize collision performance and share best practices with leadership.

• Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing required

• 5 years of general departmental management experience required

• Must have an intermediate knowledge of collision repair

• General management experience and ability to lead a team

• Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft suite required

• Project management, vendor management, and sourcing skills required

• Must have business planning skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to collaborate across team

• Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects / work streams with ability to meet tight deadlines

• Requires strong communication skills and able to work well with others

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
