Actalent Design Verification Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Job Title: Design Verification Engineer

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for executing board-level electrical design verification test plans for satellite sub-systems. You will conduct board-level testing, capture and store results, identify/debug/troubleshoot design issues, and propose potential solutions. This position offers the opportunity to impact the release of a satellite constellation to provide internet access.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct board-level testing, capture and store results.

  • Identify, debug, and troubleshoot design issues, and propose potential solutions.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering and test fundamentals.

  • 5+ years of experience in board-level design verification for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics products.

  • Experience developing requirements, plans, and procedures for product design verification.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Excellent board-level electrical circuit troubleshooting and debug skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with the design or test of circuit boards with complex microcontrollers, system-on-chip (SOCs), or FPGAs.

  • Experience with the design or test of communication busses, switching power supplies, electric motors, IMUs, sensors, RF, and high-speed electrical signal characterization.

  • Experience in design verification of high-speed interfaces, signal integrity, and protocol compliance.

  • Experience with the definition of test requirements or development of manufacturing test equipment.

  • Experience with the development of acceptance, production, and qualification test plans and associated aerospace standards (GEVS / SMC-S-016).

  • Experience with the development of automated test systems.

  • Experience with incoming calibration checks and developing calibration procedures.

  • Experience in reviewing requirements to support various test phases.

  • Experience as a technical lead, leading small groups of other test engineers across multiple designs.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA. Employees will enjoy 15 days of PTO and 7 paid holidays. The work environment is dynamic and offers an open statement of work with no tenure limit.

Compensation Range: $65-$75/hr

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00
