Location: Redmond, WA Base Pay: $60,000 -- $95,000 / Year DOE Employee Type: Full Time Position Job Type: Engineering Req'd Education: BSEE Degree, PE Preferred Req'd Experience: 1+ Years in Electrical Engineering Req'd Travel: Minimal Contact: Melanie Coar E-Mail: mcoar@epsinc.com Description: Electric Power Systems, Inc. is a unique company offering a wide range of experience in the area of power system operations, design, consultation and studies. We provide extensive services from planning studies, design, and construction to periodic testing and maintenance. We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Redmond, WA team. Responsibilities: • Accountable for the performance of system planning studies for electrical utilities and developers • System studies using PSS/e and PSLF to complete power flow, short circuit, transient stability, and other planning studies • Responsible for developing and managing complex data sets and analyzing dynamic and transient recordings from various sources • Responsible for preparing detailed technical reports • Responsible for managing their own projects including tracking project data requests, creating data submissions, providing progress submissions to clients, and responding to comments from clients • Required to prepare reports using Microsoft word Requirements: • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills • Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications • Microgrid, power plant or utility experience a plus, but not required. • Ability to work independently and on multidiscipline engineering teams.
