The Member of Technical Staff - Technical Program Manager leads the development and implementation process for products and services typically involving large, complex cross-functional implementation with multiple internal teams or external partners. Leads efforts such as designing product architecture and solutions to complex technical needs, identifying trends in product quality and performance to define or change existing features; prioritizing and delivering on the roadmap; managing project schedules and release plans; monitoring product/service performance and driving continuous improvement in quality, profitability, supportability and delivery. Acts as technical advisor with customers to evangelize products, solicit feedback, and support field sellers where needed. Designs and drives programs and/or product changes that address customer needs and business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the technical foundations of software and services the team will use, communicate requirements and manage expectations across teams.

  • Manage the timelines and schedules of mission critical cluster hardware, software and services.

  • Manage the issues and drive teams towards detection and mitigation of issues impacting training workloads.

  • Running large scale projects with partners and internal Microsoft product teams.

  • Understanding customer needs, prioritizing user scenarios, and taking new features to market.

  • Working with a cross-disciplined crew across design, research, engineering, and data analysis to deliver a high-quality product and evaluate success towards business goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
