The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

We have an exciting opportunity in the CSCP Strategy and Transformation Engineering team for a proven Product Manager to help the next generation systems that will help us predictably delivering customer capacity on time while optimizing investments Microsoft is making into cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Own program management accountability to define and launch the product capabilities that drive the desired business outcomes.

  • Engage with customers and partners to deeply understand the requirements and develop the product roadmap to address those needs.

  • Break ambiguous and complex problems into a manageable list of epics and features with clearly articulated specs.

  • Closely partner with the software engineering teams to land key product capabilities and business goals.

  • Proactively identify critical risks to the product roadmap and KPIs and mitigate those risks by working across all the teams.

  • Continuously engage with customers, partners, and leadership to provide updates on product roadmap and collect actionable feedback.

  • Identify critical data and telemetry required to optimize the product functionality, and work with engineering teams to grow the required data footprint.

  • Manage metrics, dashboards, and analytics that track the performance of the product capabilities against the goals and optimize the product functionality to drive the right performance.

  • Perform rich analysis and develop actionable insights using a variety of data sets.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2 years of experience supporting product management and/or implementing supply chain systems.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills--proven in creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.

  • Data analysis skills leveraging SQL, Power BI, Kusto, Python, or R.

  • Effective written communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques.

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
