Microsoft Corporation Senior Finance Manager, Customer Advocacy Americas in Redmond, Washington

The GTFS Customer Advocacy team is looking for a Senior Finance Manager, Customer Advocacy Americas to manage the collection of Accounts Receivable for the Americas. If you have a passion for driving customer experience, delivering results and cross-group collaboration, this is a role for you.

Responsibilities

People:

  • Practice Microsoft’s leadership principles – communicate with clarity, generate positive energy, and deliver results

Prioritize:

  • Perform Accounts Receivable reviews through BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) to drive meaningful improvement in collections

  • Recommend corrective actions to resolve customer issues and manage communications and escalations; empower BPO and hold them accountable for process adherence and meeting Service Level Agreement

  • Identify and drive improvements in processes, support new business programs by leveraging innovative technology solutions, and work with policy owners to drive program improvements and compliance 

Partnership:

  • Drive positive customer experience by understanding customer needs, support customer satisfaction initiatives, and address customer and stakeholder queries/escalations

  • Partner with teams across Microsoft, both internal and external to GTFS, on projects and initiatives to deliver best in class processes, reporting, and Accounts Receivable performance

  • Support Audit, Tax, and Trade teams to ensure timely delivery of documentation requests related to Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other compliance requirements

Protect:

  • Ensure strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies and hold BPO accountable to the same strict standards

  • Drive compliance culture through actions and decisions to instill trust and advocate, educate, and promote best practices and new developments

  • Champion Microsoft privacy, security, and ethical standards

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting, Controllership or Finance, or related field

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting, Controllership or Finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Accounts Receivable

  • Experience within a large multi-national corporation

  • Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills (Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills would be a plus)

  • Proficient cross-group collaboration skills, including the ability to comfortably communicate with management at Microsoft

  • High-level of integrity, self-confidence, demonstrated change management and support for a diverse and inclusive culture

  • Ability to influence others with empathy, while under pressure to deliver compliant time-based outcomes to key stakeholders and customers

  • Motivated self-starter that can clearly identify and articulate customer value through technology

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
