Microsoft Corporation Senior Finance Manager - Gaming Analyst in Redmond, Washington

The Senior Finance Manager - Gaming Analyst will bring a combination of finance and business acumen, leadership, and influencing skills to this space to drive outstanding financial results in close alignment with our business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Deep business Partnership : Serve as the primary finance partner to the leaders within our Central and 1st Party Studios marketing organizations. Apply strategic thinking to ensure investments are aligned to key priorities. Clearly communicate recommendations and scenario analysis to finance and business leaders.

  • Financial Analysis : Take a macro-level view to analyzing results to understand performance against plan/forecast. Monitor trends and key levers, such as headcount and marketing investment against plan/forecast assumptions. Proactively communicate across multiple stakeholders to ensure successful end-to-end understanding of portfolios, processes, and planning.

  • Detailed Investment Management : Ensure detailed investment alignment to key priorities across marketing investments and resource allocation.

  • Process Improvement : Own refining the people and non-people management process with the business and apply learnings for better accuracy in forecasting. Share best practice learnings across teams to enable broader group success.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Experience in analyzing and using data to drive business insight and decisions

  • Proficiency in excel and use of pivot tables and advance modeling techniques

  • Self-motivation; quickly identifying what needs to be accomplished and getting it done

  • Experience in financial analysis, financial forecasting or budgeting, and /or controllership, in the technology industry.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
