Microsoft Corporation Senior Finance Manager in Redmond, Washington

Microsoft Consumer Sales Organization (CSO) works across all Microsoft products and services sold to consumers, under two Microsoft Solution Areas: Gaming and Devices & Creativity covering Surface, Office, and Windows. The CSO team partners with internal and external customers to maximize revenue, market share, and mutual profit ensuring the highest ethics and compliance in any action.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and collaborative professional to join our team as a Senior Finance Manager  supporting the CSO Worldwide Sales Operations team. This role covers a wide range of responsibilities which includes P&L management, financial modeling, business partnership, and rhythm of business management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial Rhythm of Business (ROB) including month end close, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis processfor your respective area.

  • Partner with the leadership team and provide key drivers through monthly management reporting, influence business decisions with insights and recommendations, drive ownership and accountability.

  • Create financial models and frameworks to evaluate financial impacts and Return on Investment (ROI) on marketing and headcount investments.

  • Drive the consolidation of business outcomes in support of a cohesive spend narrative across Revenue Adjustments, Costs of Goods Sold (COGS), and Operating Expenses (OPEX)

  • Land process improvements through positive partnerships and clear business understanding

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and both regulatory and statutory reporting requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and control processes

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills

  • Partnering, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, influencing others without direct authority and appropriately pushing back when required.

  • Organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities, sometimes under tight deadlines.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills at various levels of the organization

  • Ability to simplify complex data into executive story telling

  • Process management skills with impeccable attention to detail and accuracy

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
