Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) is at the center of Microsoft’s cloud strategy. We build and operate critical authentication, authorization and directory services that are used by the millions of Azure, Office 365, XBOX and Windows users worldwide. In the mobile-first cloud-first world, sign-in and sign-up is the front door for reliable and secure end user experience to use any of Microsoft cloud services. Microsoft Entra ID hosts millions of tenants and billions of identities. It serves billions of requests per day in the stacks powering core authentication and programmability. The Users and Multi-Tenant experiences team within Identity and Access Management (IDNA) Division is responsible for providing secure and compliant solutions for our customers to manage their users and tenants. We develop solutions to address a wide range of customer segments from Small and Medium businesses to large Multi-National organizations with multiple tenants. In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will be responsible for building/enhancing solutions and services to facilitate effortless admiration, seamless collaboration, and world class security and protection to our customers. This is a highly collaborative role in which you will work closely with feature teams across Microsoft to deliver “best-in-class” solutions. This Hybrid Position is located at our Microsoft office in Redmond, Washington . Relocation support will not be Provided at this time.

Responsibilities
Work with Engineers and Product Managers to deliver compelling sets of features.
Design and develop large scale distributed software services and solutions.
Troubleshoot and optimize test automation, reliability, performance, and monitoring for production services.
Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews.
Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that components are well-defined, modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, maintainable, actively monitored and reusable.
Expose test coverage issues, organize and implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas.
Collaborate with mentors and leaders to gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses.
Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach.
Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability and monitoring for Live Site.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience developing high scale, distributed systems on a cloud platform.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
